Au-Ukhua Carnival
Au-Ukhua Carnival is a festival of the good people of Iviukhua Community in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State. The Carnival has been a major source of tourist attraction not just to our Community but the entire Edo North (Afenmai Land) and beyond. The award winning Carnival has over the years improved in all spheres, including the geometrical growth of tourists from all over Nigeria and beyond. With the introduction of a raffle draw to last year's edition, pundits have predicted a much bigger attraction of tourists and participants. The Carnival brochure has thus become a platform for forward looking individuals and organizations to showcase their goods and services to a rich pool of potential clientele.
It's a week-long event which usually commences on the 23rd of December, with the Final of the annual Football Competition (Ukhua Gold Cup), the annual Medical Outreach on the 24th of December, the 26th of December kicking off with the Ukhua 7km Road Race, Carnival grand finale, and the Shopping Trade Fair where the largely agrarian community, other participants showcase their goods and services, to round off the Carnival celebration on the 27th of December.
The Host Community
Iviukhua Community is one of the Egori communities in Weppa Wanno land in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State. It is bordered in the North, South, East and West by Ivianokpodi, Iviegbepui, Iviebua and Okpekpe/Ibie communities respectively.

Location
Located in the heart of downtown, Au-Ukhua Carnival is easily accessible by public transportation and has plenty of parking options nearby. Our central location also allows us to partner with local businesses to provide food and drink options for our guests.
Ukhua Road Race
The 7km Ukhua Road Race concept was birthed to add colour, glamour, fanfare and funfair to the now Internationally recognized yearly Au Ukhua Carnival that draws both local and international tourists. This is in addition to inculcating the spirit of competition, resilience and excellence in the youths in neighbouring communities of Afenmai and entire Edo State.
